DECK BUILDING
A deck you’ll actually use
We build new decks, replace rotted or unsafe ones, and add railings, stairs, privacy screens and pergolas. Every deck is framed to Iowa code with proper footings, ledger flashing and hardware rated for our freeze-thaw winters, so it looks right on day one and stays solid for years. You choose the material (low-maintenance composite or classic cedar), we handle design, permits, build and cleanup.

DECK FAQ
Questions we hear most
How much does a deck cost?
Most of our decks in the Des Moines metro run $8,000–$25,000 depending on size, material and railing. You get a written, itemized price before we start.
Do I need a permit?
Yes in most Polk County cities. We pull the permit, schedule the inspections and build to the current code.
How long does it take?
A typical deck is 1–2 weeks on site once materials and the permit are in hand. Spring slots fill fast, so book early.
